Theme: “The Importance of Research in Clinical Practice”

Rutgers-School of Health Related Professions (SHRP) Research Day recognizes and emphasizes the importance of research conducted in the school of Health Related Professions.  Research Day is a great networking opportunity for students and faculty members from different departments within the school and to augment faculty-student interactions through research.

To better explore the theme ““The Importance of Research in Clinical Practice”, there will be a keynote panel exploring research in clinical settings: Dr. Carrie D. King, Associate Professor of Dietetics and Nutrition at the University of Alaska Anchorage and Ms. Chris Charles, Johnson and Johnson, Director, Clinical Research/Operations.  Dr. Scott Parrott will moderate the session.

Students will present posters supported by their faculty/mentor.  Selected students will provide an oral presentation on their research project.

All students presenting a poster will be considered for the Student Scholarship and Research Awards to be presented at Rutgers-SHRP’s Convocation. Local and distance students are eligible to participate.   More information and instructions will be posted below on March 16, 2015.

Please complete if you are presenting.
  • Guidelines for poster presentations:
    • Sample template for poster presentation
    • Please note that all posters should have the Rutgers SHRP or RBHS logo in the upper left-hand corner (click here for Rugters' logo website/downloads), and should be sized to fit 36 x 48 rectangle (36 inches tall and 48 inches wide).  The SAMPLE template provides a traditional format, but please feel free to add, delete or modify the outline provided.  Additionally, you do not have to use this format and can take creative liberty in designing your own poster. Printing quality is important and you should have between 150-200 pixels per inch in order to avoid distortion.

Trifold and binder clips will be provided for you on research day, and you are only responsible for the printing of the poster.  Set-up for posters begins at 9:00 a.m. Select student teams will be chosen to present to the larger audience.  These students will be notified in advance of Research Day.
