Albert J. Heuer, PhD, MBA, RRT, RPFT
Dr. Heuer joined the Rutgers-SHRP faculty in 1996 and is currently Associate Professor within the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies and Respiratory Care Program. He designs and teaches courses related to health care management and respiratory care. Dr. Heuer is the recipient of the 2008 SHRP Excellence in Teaching Award. After a career in finance and administration, Dr. Heuer entered the field of respiratory care in 1993. He continues to work in a variety of clinical settings, most notably in acute and home care. He earned a BA degree from Montclair State University in 1980, an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1986 and a PhD in Graduate Medical Education in 2002 from Seton Hall University. Dr. Heuer has recently co-edited two textbooks, authored numerous articles and book chapters, and has conducted an array of invited presentations relating to respiratory therapy and health care administration. Dr. Heuer has also served on the Newark Campus IRB since 2000 and is the Chair of the Rutgers-SHRP Committee on Appointments and Promotions.

Janet Reid-Hector, Ed.D, RD
Dr. Janet Reid- Hector Ed.D, RD
Dr. Hector Is a faculty member in the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies in the School of Health Related Professions- Rutgers University, Biomedical & Health Sciences. She is a graduate of Columbia University-NY where she earned a Doctoral Degree. Additionally, she holds a Master of Science Degree from New York University & a Bachelor of Science Degree from Rutgers University in NJ. For the past 18 years she has worked at the University of Medicine & Dentistry of NJ-UH as the Assistant Director – Clinical & Patient Services - planning, organizing, and directing all clinical nutrition functions for the inpatient and ambulatory care subunits of the University Hospital as well as, coordinating the training, mentoring and precepting of allied health students, and third & fourth year medical students enrolled in supervised practicums. She serves as an Asst. Professor & Academic Program Advisor in the School of Health Related Professions at Rutgers-BMHS.
