In the summer of 2008, the American Physical Therapy Association joined other health professional organizations in making available a computerized application service for prospective students pursuing a degree in physical therapy. This new system enables students to apply, using one common application, to all of the Physical Therapy programs that have elected to utilize this service.
Rutgers SHRP is very excited about providing you with this new, updated, online service!

Tips for successful completion of the online application
- It would be beneficial to have a hard copy of your academic transcript in front of you when filling out the academic page of the application.
- References may be transmitted electronically, be sure to have the correct e-mail address of the person you are requesting a reference from as once you submit your form, an e-mail and electronic reference form will be sent immediately to that person.
- After submitting the PTCAS on-line application, it is the applicant's responsibility to follow-up with PTCAS to confirm that all supporting paperwork (transcripts, recommendation letters) have been recieved.
- GRE's and volunteer/work experiences should be completed prior to October 1st.
