About Careers

Choosing a career can appear to be one of the most critical decisions that one makes in life. For some this choice is easy, but for many this choice can be very difficult. This web site has been created as an informational guide to careers in health sciences.

While popular culture lends to the notion that the health sciences consists of doctors and nurses, the truth couldn't be further. The World Health Organization defines health as the "state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity." It takes much more than doctors and nurses to achieve this. This web site provides descriptions for the various health science careers, education in these fields, labor statistics, as well as resources for gathering more information. While this site can not choose your career for you, it may facilitate your choice - It's all about choices.

Below are some videos that describe various health science careers in depth.
