Graduate Programs in Clinical Nutrition


Continuing Professional Education

The SHRP Graduate Programs in Clinical Nutrition, in conjunction with the Rutgers-Center for Advanced and Continuing Education, is a Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Accredited Provider (Provider Number UN001) with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).

Academic courses may be taken for continuing education credit. CPE documentation will be provided upon successful completion of the course requirements to include in your Professional Development Portfolio for the Commission on Dietetic Registration. Each course hour is equivalent to 15 CEU. For the current course schedule, click here.

Nutrition Focused Physical Examination- A Physical Assessment Workshop for Registered Dietitians

Our Nutrition Focused Physical Examination- A Physical Assessment Workshop for Registered Dietitians is offered twice per year.  The in-person workshop includes discussions and demonstration of techniques, and practice under professional supervision.  Program learning outcomes to be attained at the novice level include physical assessment skills: anthropometric measurements & body composition; measurement of vital signs; physical assessment of fluid status; assessment of ‘normal’ breath and heart sounds; intra- and extra-oral assessment; and dysphagia screening.   For more details about future workshop dates, click here.  For questions, e-mail brodyra@shrp.rutgers.edu.

Clinical Practice: Making the Evidence Work

If you are interested in understanding the ins and outs of evidence based practice, consider enrolling in our 15 credit Clinical Practice: Making the Evidence Work program.  For $10.00 per credit, you will have access to five comprehensive modules describing evidence based practice and its application to clinical decision making.  The program can be completed on your own time, at your convenience, and anywhere that you have internet access.  For more information, click here.  For questions, e-mail brodyra@shrp.rutgers.edu.

Using the IDNT in Pediatric Nutrition Care: An Application of the Nutrition Care Process & Model and the International Dietetics and Nutrition Terminology (4th Edition)

Nutrition Informatics for Registered Dietitians
