About the Rutgers-UMDNJ Integration

Respiratory Therapy Program - South

The Respiratory Therapy Program - South was established just over 25 years ago in southern New Jersey. The Program at Rutgers - SHRP is accredited by the the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC), and provides an exciting opportunity for graduates to begin a professional career in Respiratory Therapy at an advanced level.

RT South Students

The Southern New Jersey Respiratory Therapy AAS degree option is a joint venture with seven community colleges;Atlantic-Cape Community CollegeBurlington County CollegeCamden County CollegeCumberland County CollegeOcean County College, and Rowan College at Gloucester County, Salem Community College

Our Second Bachelor's Degree, for students who possess a Bachelors Degree from an accredited US College or University.

The School of Health Related Professions is located on on the Stratford campus at 40 East Laurel Road, just off of Route 30 (White Horse Pike) in Stratford, NJ. PATCO High Speed Line and Atlantic City Rail station is within walking distance. NJ Transit busses stop at campus as well.



We will begin accepting applicaitons for the 2016-17 Academic Year on January 1, 2016.

If you wish to apply for the either the JOINT ASSOCIATE DEGREE OPTION or 2ND BACHELOR DEGREE OPTION, we will be accepting paper applications beginning on January 1, 2016

You will be able to print an application packet and instructions from this page, or you may call the Program Office to request a packet to be sent to you.  Your application will be processed in the Stratford program Office.   All materials and transcripts MUST be sent directly to the Stratford office, as directed in the packet.   

Candidates for both the Associates Degree and the 2nd Bachelor Degree Options will be required to sit for a skills examination before the application process is complete.  Dates for testing will be given to students once their application has been received in the Program Office.
